Using a tape measure or string, measure your dog's neck circumference (just behind his ears with a finger between them) and the circumference of the widest part of his head. Bring the tape measure/cord as close to the skin as possible to get the most accurate measurement.

For poodles with show coats (on the neck) and other dogs with very full coats, add an additional 3-4 cm to the neck circumference to estimate the collar size.

If you want to buy the collar for a short-haired dog, use the measured neck circumference.
